Betty White “never wanted people to fuss about her.”
The iconic actress died at her Los Angeles home on Dec.31, aged 99, and longtime friend and agent Jeff Witjas has revealed Betty will be buried in a private ceremony.
He told People, “The arrangements are being handled in private and that was Betty’s wish. As in life, she never wanted people to fuss about her.”
Jeff encouraged fans to honor Betty’s legacy by donating to some of her favorite organizations, such as the Los Angeles Zoo, Tree People, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Wildlife Learning Center, and Actors and Animals for Others.
He said: “If anyone would like to do something in their honor, you can support or donate to one or more of their favorite charities or even donate to a local animal charity in your area. choice.”
Meanwhile, Don Cheadle recently hailed Betty as the “best of the best.”
The Hollywood star took to Twitter to pay a heartfelt tribute to the late actress.
Don – who starred alongside Betty on the CBS series ‘The Golden Palace’ – wrote on the microblogging platform: “Betty was the best of the best. the DP to have the right lighting between my chocolate and betty’s white! she was either a ghost or i was the shadow. i came on set one day and betty had her makeup / hair a little dark
“an attempt to accommodate for this. no one asked her to do so. and this is just a small example of her overflowing generosity. my dogs thank her too. she gave us our recce vet who we still see to date she was the most golden of all and will be missed forever. [broken heart emoji] (sic) “
