Emily Blunt to star in crime conspiracy film ‘Pain Hustlers’

Hollywood star Emily Blunt will star in ”Pain Hustlers”, a crime conspiracy film to be directed by David Yates.

Yates, known for directing four films in the ‘Harry Potter’ series and the first three films in his ‘Fantastic Beasts’ prequel series, will direct the new film, which has a script from writer Wells Tower.

”Pain Hustlers” would be in the same vein as ”The Big Short” by Adam McKay, ”American Hustle” by David O Russell and ”The Wolf of Wall Street” directed by Martin Scorsese.

It is described as a hilarious, dramatic and wild journey into the corrupt heart of the American dream.

” Dreaming of a better life for herself and her young daughter, high school dropout Liza Drake (Blunt) lands a job at a failing pharmaceutical start-up in a yellowing strip mall in central Florida. Liza’s charm, courage and drive propel the company and her into the high life, where she soon finds herself at the center of a criminal plot with deadly consequences,’ the official storyline reads.

The film, which will begin production in August this year, is produced by Lawrence Gray through his Gray Matter Productions banner and Wychwood Pictures.

Blunt recently starred in ”Jungle Cruise” and ”A Quiet Place 2”. The actor will next be seen in Christopher Nolan’s director’s ‘Oppenheimer’.
