Mumbai, Aug 25 (PTI) Days after testing positive for novel coronavirus, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has expressed his gratitude to his well-wishers and colleagues for their love and support.

The 79-year-old actor announced his diagnosis on Tuesday evening via social media and urged anyone who came into contact with him to get tested immediately.

Bachchan took to his blog early Thursday morning to reach out to fans and followers.

“…to those who sent me their concern and their prayers.. their love.. and the huge heart filled with grace for my recovery, I give my folded hands in grateful gratitude will always be touched with gratitude.. your benevolence will always remain in me and your devoted care, an endless stream of love.. (sic),” he wrote.

“…I have no intention of giving out health reports.. but yes I will and I should keep you posted,” he added.

The film veteran, who was hospitalized in July 2020 after contracting COVID-19, said he was “disappointed” to have tested positive for the virus again.

Bachchan said he was unhappy that his “sacred” professional commitments took a sudden hit due to his diagnosis. He is currently hosting the 14th season of the popular reality show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (KBC).
