Olly Murs has canceled his UK summer tour after undergoing knee surgery.
The 37-year-old pop star has gone under the knife and will now spend the next six months in rehab.
Olly said: “I’m absolutely disgusted to have to cancel my summer tour this year, but unfortunately I had to undergo major knee surgery again.
“I am devastated not to be performing these concerts and can only apologize for the inconvenience caused. Rest assured that I will be pushing for new music later this year!”
Fans who have purchased tickets for the concerts will be able to request a refund from their point of purchase.
Olly was due to begin his tour at the Botanic Gardens in Belfast on June 10 and end at Trentham Gardens in Stoke on September 4.
The chart-topping pop star also took to social media after undergoing knee surgery.
Olly – who shot to fame on 2009’s ‘The X Factor’ – posted a photo of himself on crutches and wearing a knee brace on his Twitter account.
He wrote on the microblogging platform, “I am disgusted to have to write this post, but unfortunately I had to undergo another major knee operation this week. [crying emoji] I did my best to avoid doing it, but the operation was necessary and it went well. I’m recovering in the hospital…
“but this means I have to cancel all of my summer shows this year while I focus on my rehabilitation. Refunds will all be available from your point of purchase and please keep an eye out for emails from your ticket agent over the next few days.
“I’m so sorry but I’m focusing on recovery now and I’ll keep you all posted on how I’m doing! Stay cheeky see you soon (sic)”
